The short version
Rock Paper Shake has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your phone's motion sensors are read on the phone, and only the outcome of each throw goes to our game server when you play with others or against bots.
What stays on your phone
- Motion sensor readings (acceleration and rotation), used to count shakes and read your twist. They never leave the phone.
- Your settings, your nickname and your score against the computer.
What the game server receives
Only when you tap Play (a bot game or waiting for players), never in practice mode:
- Your nickname, if you set one. Other players in the same game see it. Leave it empty and the server shows "Player 1" or similar.
- Your throws and their timing: the shape you threw in each round, when it arrived, and the numbers behind it (the gaps between your shakes and how far you twisted), or why a throw was missing ("too slow"). We use this to run the game and to make shake and twist detection better.
- Game records: each game's code, start and end time, number of players and the champion's nickname.
The server does not store your IP address with any of this. Like any web server, the server in front of it keeps a short access log with IP addresses for security and troubleshooting, deleted after 14 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
- We don't link game data to your identity: there is no account, email or device identifier.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking.
How long we keep it
Game records and round logs are kept to improve the game. If you want what was recorded under your nickname deleted, email support@limidus.com with the nickname and roughly when you played.
Children
The game is for everyone. Because it collects no contact details or identifiers, it doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. Choose a nickname that isn't your real name if you prefer.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
